One Room Schoolhouse located in Marion County, Kansas, District 34, 1896

This school is worth a visit.  The nearby town of Marion, Kansas is also worth an easy day trip from Wichita, Kansas City or Topeka.

This is the prettiest little school house I have ran across to date.  I was on my way to give a speech in Marion, Kansas, and stumbled acoss it.

The school stands alone on the beautiful rolling Kansas Flint Hills.

I decided to experiment with some different photo techniques using a free online website named makeretro.com.  Some examples are located below:

  1. Where is this schoolhouse located? I live in Marion County but don't think I've ever some across it, but would love to go see it. Do you remember which road it was on?

  2. I saw this off HWY 50 in June, 2013, and stopped to look at it with my wife and 18 month old daughter. What wonderful pictures you took of it! Thanks for showing them!
